Vampires! It was ridiculous how people still held the same misconceptions about the oh-so-glorious and mysterious bloodsuckers. There was a time when he had held the mystery and aura of shadow around these creatures in the same kind of awe, but he had long given up any illusion of finding any more behind the fancy clothes and skulking in the shadows, than a society of mutated freaks who worshipped their own twisted existence more than anything else. Politics, jealousy and a good deal of caresses for one or the others ego was all it had entailed, whenever he had been in the company of so-called Vampires.
